Spain counted 121.279,5 hectares of organic vineyards in 2019 (+6.9%)

The cultivation of the vineyard in ecological conditions continues to grow in Spain. According to the provisional statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in 2019 a total of 121,279.48 hectares of vineyard were registered in organic cultivation, this is an increase of 6.93% compared to 2018. The growth is generalized in all Spanish regions, only exception are the Regions of Murcia, Cantabria and Galicia.
Organic vineyards represent approximately 13% of the total vineyards in our country.
We should not lose sight of the fact that, from 2010 to 2019 the organic vineyard area in Spain has more than doubled from 57,231.75 hectares to the current 121,279.48 (+111.91%).
